Medical interests: General rheumatology, connective tissue disorders, sarcoidosis, vasculitis.
As a general physician and rheumatologist I see patients with a wide range of general medical and rheumatological problems. I have a strong background in all aspects of general muscular and skeletal medicine and specialise in treating patients with sarcoidosis, systemic vasculitis, rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus and the other rarer autoimmune and autoinflammatory diseases.
Dr Huw Beynon trained in medicine at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital in London, qualifying in 1981. He specialised in rheumatology, gaining a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in Rheumatology and General Internal Medicine. In his early career he was Registrar in Nephrology at the Hammersmith Postgraduate Medical School. After holding a Medical Research Council Training Fellowship at the Rheumatology Unit at the Hammersmith, he became Senior Registrar in Rheumatology and General Medicine at the Hammersmith and Ealing Hospitals, a position he held until being appointed as a Consultant Physician and Rheumatologist at the Royal Free Hospital.
Dr Huw Beynon is now Consultant Physician and Rheumatologist at the Royal Free Hospital in London. He has an additional interest in teaching general medicine for MRCP status at the Royal College of Physicians. He is one of the four founding partners of The Physicians’ Clinic.

Dr Huw Beynon provided medical advisory services to The Physicians’ Clinic. In his role he supervises all educational activities for TPC. The fee for medical advisory services is charged to TPC at £327 per hour. Dr Huw Beynon holds 4.8% of the issued share equity of The Physicians’ Clinic. Dr Huw Beynon has a financial interest in the Devonshire Diagnostic Centre Limited.
