I specialise in Acute and General internal medicine I regularly manage patients with complex medical problems focusing on same day diagnostics and assessment.

In my NHS Practice, I am the Clinical Lead for Same Day Emergency Care, a rapid access clinic and assessment unit at UCLH where patients are referred in for on the day diagnostics and specialist input. I participate in the General medical on call rota at UCLH and work on the Acute Medicine Unit overseeing a 56-bed unit, including an Enhanced care unit for patients requiring more intensive medical care. I have experience in managing acute Covid-19 patients as well as Long COVID-19 patients to manage long term sequelae. I always focus on the patient being the priority and main focus in medical care, and endeavour to always involve patients in their own decision making with treatment plans.

Dr Sikka studied Medicine at University College London, completing her training in 2009 with a Merit Honors. In addition she completed an intercalated degree in Medical Sciences with Pharmacology (2:1) honors.

She has rotated through a variety of London hospitals, both district general and Tertiary centres in North Central and East London to train in Acute medicine, and also in specialist registrar roles rotating from Respiratory, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Intensive Care and Elderly Care Medicine as well as Intensive Care. She completed her CCT in Acute and General Internal Medicine in 2018.

She is a keen Educationalist and completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Education from the University of Edinburgh in 2019.
