As a team of gastroenterologists, we share some skills but we also complement each other. More than that, we use regular discussions and team meetings to review individual patients to make sure that we are offering the fastest diagnostic pathway and the most effective treatment plan.

We collaborate with physicians from The Clinic's other specialties to provide holistic medical care

The digestive system does not work in isolation in the body and patients can have conditions that affect other body systems. As people get older it is also more likely that they will have several independent health problems. We aim to treat the whole person, not just their gastroenterology disorder. Working with colleagues in other specialties allows us to provide excellent all-round medical support.

We arrange referrals to colleagues in other specialties, with fast turnaround times for test results and follow-up appointments

The Gastroenterology and Hepatology team offers timely appointments, same-day diagnostics and consultations and fast-track results. But if you need a consultation with a physician from another specialty we will refer you direct so that your follow-up appointment can be arranged quickly. We cannot always offer a same-day appointment with one of our colleagues, but if this is possible it will be arranged.

We can access the 365 Acute Admissions Service at The Physicians' Clinic to get patients into the acute care ward at The Princess Grace Hospital quickly and efficiently, when necessary

If a patient's condition is serious or it suddenly worsens, prompt action can avoid further deterioration and worry. Our 365 Acute Admissions Service, coordinated by our Acute Care consultants led by Dr Paul Glynne, Founder Director at the Clinic, provides fast access to critical care facilities.

Our effective collaboration provides private patients with a comprehensive and joined up service

The Physicians' Clinic was founded to improve on the fragmented services that are available in the private sector in central London. The coordination between members of the Gastroenterology and Hepatology team builds on that, assuring patients that their needs will be met without the stresses of accessing different services in a range of locations.
