Dr George (Jowad) Raja

Medical interests: Diagnostic radiology; endovascular aneurysm repair; peripheral angioplasty and stenting.



I am a specialist in diagnostic and interventional radiology, offering MRI, CT and ultrasound scanning of the digestive tract and cardiovascular system.

I am also skilled in complex interventions such as endovascular aneurysm repair (EVAR), peripheral angioplasty and stenting, treatment of diabetic foot disease and uterine fibroid embolisation.

Medical training

Dr Raja trained at Edinburgh University Medical School, and is now a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (London) and the Royal College of Radiologists (London). He was also a Fellow in Endovascular Surgery at St George's Hospital.

Current appointments

Dr Raja is Consultant Radiologist at University College Hospital. He is affiliated with the British Society of Interventional Radiology, the Vascular Society, and FEMISA – Fibroid Embolisation Information, Support and Advice. He has published extensively on all aspects of endovascular and interventional radiology and has been an invited speaker at many UK and European radiology conferences.
