Dr Carl Brookes

Medical interests: Interventional cardiology including coronary angiography and stent insertion. Heart failure of all causes. Conduction tissue disease and pacemaker implantation. Emergency cardiology and cardiovascular risk assessment.

I see patients who are affected by a wide variety of heart conditions and my particular expertise is in interventional cardiology. This includes coronary angiography, angioplasty/stent insertion, and pacemaker implantation. I also run a specialist multidisciplinary heart failure service. My main patient base is from the local area (London and Hampshire) but I do see patients from the rest of the UK and overseas.

I have 14 years experience as a general cardiologist running specialist heart failure, coronary disease and valve clinics. In my NHS department we see more than 12000 new out-patients per year with all types of cardiac conditions as well as many hundreds of in-patients with emergency needs.
