Special interests in Neuromuscular disorders, Neurotoxicity, General neurology. Headache, epilepsy, pins and needles, muscle pain, parkinsons disease.  

I am a Neurologist and Clinician Academic working at The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square, and Watford General Hospital. I have worked as a consultant since 2017 and have expertise in conditions affecting muscles and nerves. I also have extensive experience in general neurology.  

I completed Neurology and Neurophysiology training in Australia, then moved to London to complete a PhD in skeletal muscle channelopathies. I have successfully led, as Chief Investigator, a clinical trial comparing treatments in patients with myotonia congenita, a genetic muscle condition.  

I lead Muscle Channelopathy research at the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology. I have a keen interest in clinical trials and am the Clinical trials lead at the Queen Square Clinical Trials Centre. I am a member of the British Muscle Society Council and Association of British Neurologists Research committee. 

I have received several awards including the MDUK Early career Researcher of the year 2022, Association of British Neurologists 2021 Top Platform Presentation Prize and Muscle Study Group Conference Shark Tank Winner 2020.  

I have been invited or selected to speak at several international conferences including the World Muscle Society Conference 2024, The Neuromuscular Study Group Conference 2024, The Brain Conference 2021, The QS UCL Institute of Neurology annual symposium 2024 and the British Muscle Society Conference 2024.
