Dr Nicola Ambrose, Consultant in Rheumatology and General Medicine, has joined the Physicians’ Clinic within its Rheumatology department. Dr Ambrose specialises in general adult and adolescent rheumatology with a particular interest in Behçet’s Syndrome, connective tissue disorders including SLE and hypermobility/chronic pain and osteoporosis.
Dr Paul Glynne Commented “I am delighted that Dr Ambrose is joining The Physicians’ Clinic. Her specialist interests perfectly complement those of our Rheumatology team and I look forward to working with Dr Ambrose.”
After training and graduating in Dublin Dr Ambrose was awarded a Clinical Research Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians Ireland and subsequently a Junior Fellowship from Arthritis Research UK, to undertake a PhD, awarded for research into abnormal inflammation in Behçet’s Syndrome, at Imperial College London. Dr Ambrose now holds an honorary contract at UCL and Imperial College London. She has an additional interest in teaching general medicine for MRCP examinations (PACES).
