Dr Michael Pelly, Acute and General Physician, has joined The Physicians’ Clinic within its Acute and General Medicine Speciality. Dr Pelly specialises in general medicine, acute and long term illness, in all ages from young adults to the elderly. He also has an interest in Diagnostic dilemmas, fever of unknown origin, diseases in returning travellers, transient ischaemic attacks, stroke and stroke rehabilitation, evaluation of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular risk factors. Dr Pelly is a very experienced general physician who provides an exceptionally high level of service to his patients. He really is “the doctor’s doctor”. I look forward to him getting started here with us.” Dr Pelly has had a very varied career, spending two years in general practice prior to over twenty years as a hospital consultant at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. In addition Dr Pelly has practiced abroad both in hospitals and humanitarian aid.
He is the Lead Clinician in stroke medicine and an honorary senior lecturer at Imperial College. He is currently part of a large international study looking into stroke services, and serves on the board of several health charities. Widely regarded as a physician’s physician, he has been voted one of Tatler’s top 100 doctors.
