Dr Michael Loebinger joins The Physicians' Clinic

Dr Michael Loebinger, Respiratory Physician, has joined The Physicians’ Clinic within its Respiratory Medicine Specialty. Dr Loebinger has expertise and experience in all aspects of respiratory medicine but particularly specialises in chronic respiratory infections and bronchiectasis. He also treats patients with non-tuberculosis mycobacterial infections and cystic fibrosis. Dr Loebinger believes that significant improvements can be made to patient’s lives and their outlook, with the correct diagnosis and management.

Dr Loebinger’s expertise in the investigation and treatment of lung infections will provide an invaluable addition to the portfolio of clinic expertise offered at our uniquely comprehensive medical practice.”

Dr Loebinger combined his continued specialisation and training with research, being awarded a Medical Research Council Clinical Research Training Fellowship to work within University College London towards a PhD in 2006. He investigated the potential use of adult stem cells as therapy for lung disease, gaining his PhD and publishing several papers.

Since 2010 Dr Loebinger has also received prestigious awards from The Medical Research Society, the British Lung Foundation and the American Thoracic Society, has been employed as a Consultant in Respiratory Medicine at the Royal Brompton and also holds an Honorary Senior Lecturer post at Imperial College London.
